Louisiana Tech's soccer team is once again giving back to the local community by offering free soccer camps.

Those interested in the camps conducted by head coach Kevin Sherry and the Lady Techster soccer team have two options to choose from. One is for members of the Ruston Girls Soccer Club that meets every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The club is free to join for girls ages 8-14. Those interested in joining the Ruston Girls Soccer Club should contact Jacqueline Bean at rustongirlssoccerclub@yahoo.com.

For boys and those not wanting to be a member of the club, Sherry and his staff will hold free soccer clinics periodically throughout the summer. The clinics are for boys and girls of all ages. Stay tuned to LATechSports.com for dates to be announced.

All camps will be held at the Lady Techster Soccer Complex located across the street from the Charles Wyly Athletic Center.

The Louisiana Tech soccer staff will also be hosting a Spring College Prep Camp on May 25th for any and all female players in grades 8-12 at the Lady Techster Soccer Complex.

The one-day camp will begin with a three-hour soccer session featuring soccer drills to help develop technical and tactical play which in turn can be used as a foundation to learn one's role on the team according to position.

After a break for lunch, the campers will take part in an interactive session on college prep to help players better prepare for college soccer and life, including sports psychology, fitness and recruiting.

The day will conclude with 8 vs. 8 and 11 vs. 11 games.

The cost of the camp is $105 with a $10 discount if registered by May 11th. The price already includes a camp T-shirt.
