Squire Creek Country Club and Golf Course

Squire Creek Country Club and Golf Course in Choudrant, La., serves as Louisiana Tech's home course and gives the Bulldogs golf team one of premiere home courses in the country.

In fact, the 7,105-yard, Par 72 course was recognized by Golf Digest in January of 2004 as the fifth best new private course in the nation. Golf Digest also ranks Squire Creek as the No. 1 golf course in Louisiana.

Created by Tom Fazio, voted Golf Course Architect of the year by his peers for five consecutive years, the course provides its creator's desire to combine pleasurable play surrounded by breathtaking scenery like blooming azaleas providing a natural fireworks display surrounded by lush green pine trees and rolling hills.

Squire Creek's course features four Par 3 holes, four Par 5 holes and 10 Par 4 holes. The longest hole off the Black Fazio tees, which were used during the 2005 Western Athletic Conference championships, is the 561-yard Hole 17 while the shortest is the 175-yard hole 5.

The 40,000 square foot clubhouse at Squire Creek is a stunning and vibrant focal point for the course and surrounding community and features a restaurant overlooking the course and a tremendous selection of menu items created by Squire Creek's reknowed chef staff.

Squire Creek also has six lighted tennis courts consisting of two hard courts and four hydro courts. The hydro court system is the most advanced clay court watering system made and are always lush green at all times, hot or cold, rain or shine.

The Squire Creek fitness center has two exercise rooms, one equipped with cardiovascular and resistance machines, medicine balls, dumbbells, multipurpose benches, exercise benches and exercise mats. the other exercise room has steps, mats, light dumbbells and exercise tubes. The second is also equipped with a wireless microphone, PowerPoint and video capabilities, sound equipment and wood floors making it a perfect setting for kids clubs, birthday parties and other events.

Squire Creek Country Club also features a pool and Waterside Cafe' with outside eating areas, offering families a relaxing day at the pool without leaving for refreshments or meals.
