Jeffry Cummings begins his second year at Louisiana Tech, his first as the assistant athletics director for ticket operations after serving as the ticket operations associate last year.
In addition to the normal day-to-day responsibilities of the ticket office, Cummings will coordinate all marketing and sales efforts with The Aspire Group, will coordinate game day staffing for ushers, ticket takers and sales staff, will oversee the Ticketmaster system, and will coordinate donor tickets and seating with the Foundation and LTAC. He will also work closely with the business office balancing accounts as well as overseeing the annual audit.
Cummings came to Ruston with experience working in both the LSU and Tulane athletic departments as well as for the New Orleans Zephyrs minor league baseball team. During his college days in Baton Rouge, he worked in the LSU athletic department helping coordinate promotions for men's basketball and women's soccer.
After graduating from LSU in 2007 with a bachelor's in general studies, Cummings spent seven months as a marketing and promotions intern for the Zephyrs where he worked extensively with the franchise's kids club.
Cummings then joined the Tulane family in September of 2008 as a marketing and promotions assistant in the athletic department where he worked in a number of areas including tickets, promotions and marketing.
