Kelly Gayman enters her second year as an assistant athletic trainer at Louisiana Tech.
She serves as the primary athletic trainer for the Lady Techster volleyball team as well as the men's and women's track and field team while also assisting with the daily responsibilities of the sports medicine department.
Gayman came to Ruston after serving for two years as a graduate assistant in the Auburn Sports Medicine Department where she handled the Tigers volleyball team. During her time at Auburn, she organized and aided with a number of large events including the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, the War Eagle Invitational Volleyball Tournament and the 5K Memorial Run.
She has also gained valuable sports medicine experience during her undergraduate work at the College of Charleston working as a student assistant.
The Newberry, S.C. native earned a pair of bachelor's degrees from the College of Charleston in athletic training and exercise science. She received her master's degree from Auburn in May of 2011 in kinesiology with a concentration in biomechanics.
Gayman is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association and the Alabama National Athletic Trainers Association.
