Kane McGuire joins the Louisiana Tech Media Relations Department in 2012 and serves as the primary contact for men's basketball, women's soccer, and women's tennis.

The Ruston native is a 2006 graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in English.

After graduation McGuire worked at Community Trust Bank for five and a half years as a personal banker, and as a specialist in the account services and loan administration departments. This past year, he was also a staff writer for the Louisiana Tech Rivals website BleedTechBlue.com where he conducted and wrote football recruiting stories and provided game summaries of Lady Techsters basketball.

McGuire resides in Ruston with his wife Kari McGuire of St. Francisville, Louisiana, and his 2-year old son Colin.
