Aya Morioka Last College: Northern Colorado Position: Sports Medicine - Graduate Assistant

After serving as an intern in the Louisiana Tech Sports Medicine Department last year, Aya Morioka begins her first year as graduate assistant.

Morioka, who is originally from Iga, Japan, worked with the Bulldog football team and Lady Techster tennis teams last year but will now serve as the primary contact for the Lady Techster soccer team this season.

She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor's in athletic training where she worked with the University's soccer, baseball, track and field, and volleyball programs as a senior athletic training student.

Morioka also has experience working with football, basketball, and swimming as she has also spent time at a physical therapy clinic and in a local high school setting.

She is a certified member of the National Athletic Training Association and Kinesio Taping Association.
