Christy Waguespack begins her third year as a member of the Louisiana Tech Sports Medicine Department, her second as a full-time assistant.
Waguespack, who is from Thibodaux, La, will serve as the primary contact for the Lady Techster volleyball and softball teams after working with the Bulldog and Lady Techster track and field teams during last season. During her first year at Tech she worked as an intern under head athletic trainer Keith Bunch while working primarily with the LA Tech football team and women's tennis team.
She graduated from The University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2008 with a bachelor of science in kinesiology where she played softball for the Lady Warhawks.
She then earned her master's degree in athletic training at The University of Arkansas in 2011. While at Arkansas she worked with softball, women's soccer, and football as well as completing rotations with a local high school football team and a physical therapy clinic.
She is a certified member of the National Athletic Training Association.
