After producing outstanding playing careers on the high school (Ruston) and collegiate level (Tech) in football, Bobby Aillet went on to establish yet another noteworthy athletic career as a football official. Serving on the high school and collegiate level for 36 years, Aillet officiated approximately 450 football games and eventually rose to the very pinnacle of that profession. The son of Tech legendary coach Joe Aillet, Bobby eventually became a top official within the Southeastern Conference where he was chosen to work in eight post season bowl games and a national championship contest. Also a very successful engineer and co-founder of the Aillet, Fenner, Jolly and McClelland engineering firm in Shreveport, Aillet was inducted into the All-American Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 1996. He was also chosen Louisiana Tech Alumnus of the Year in 1989 and he and wife Dorothy are the parents of eight children, all Tech graduates.
