George Woodson

Was one of the most productive pitchers in school history after joining the team via walk-on tryout. Playing when Tech usually scheduled less than 30 games per season, the Amity, Ark. native made the most of his opportunities with a career 23-6 record built around an amazing 1.39 ERA that is still a Tech record. After going 7-2 as a senior while allowing just two earned runs in 56 innings, Woodson signed a pro contract with the Cleveland Indians organization and played seven years of pro ball, mostly in triple-A.
