Hall of Fame

Since the early 1900s, Louisiana Tech's success in athletic competition has been a great source of pride. From the university's beginning, alumni and students have rallied in support of Tech's teams; excellence and good sportsmanship rank among Tech's proudest traditions.

This university has produced outstanding athletes over the years, and countless alumni and friends of Tech have played major roles in the many successes of the athletics program. The Athletic Hall of Fame was instituted in 1984 with the induction of six charter members, providing a means of honoring those who have greatly distinguished themselves and the university and who have been vital benefactors of the athletic program.

Basic guidelines were established to honor athletes, coaches, administrators and benefactors who have been highly successful at Louisiana Tech and who have distinguished themselves professionally. These outstanding persons who are honored by being named to the Louisiana Tech University Athletic Hall of Fame remain always a source of great pride to this university.

A great number of talented athletes have performed for the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters throughout this university's history. An equal outstanding list of coaches, administrators, and benefactors have served Louisiana Tech. Consequently, special honor is attached to membership in the Hall of Fame, a truly elite group.

In order to be eligible for selection to the Louisiana Tech Athletic Hall of Fame, an athlete must have completed his/her college eligibility a minimum of five years prior to the election, while there is no prescribed waiting period for athletic staff, university officials or other individuals.
