Sonja Hogg

Sonja began the Lady Techsters basketball program in 1974 and spearheaded its climb to the pinnacle of Women's Collegiate Basketball during an 11-year career. During her tenure the Techsters never had a losing season, won National Championships in 1981 and 1982, went to the Final Four six straight times from 1979 through 1984, set a national record with 54 consecutive victories and compiled a composite record of 0f 306 and 53, easily the finest in the nation during that time period. A native of Alexandria, La., Sonja graduated from high school at Bolton, and then earned her Bachelors and Masters from Louisiana Tech. In addition to her leadership role with the Lady Techsters, Sonja served on several NCAA Committees and on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Women's Basketball Coaches Association while here.
