Tech Makes Strides in Facilities

The University made significant strides in its athletic facilities during the course of its membership in the Western Athletic Conference as renovations and additions were made to all of the athletic department venues. Some of the most significant renovations included the new video scoreboard, field turf and lights at Joe Aillet Stadium; the new court at the Thomas Assembly Center along with renovations to locker rooms for both basketballs and volleyball; the renovation and dedication of Scotty Robertson Court at Memorial Gym; the resurfacing of the Jim Mize Track and Field Complex; the construction of the new Lady Techster Tennis Courts; the construction of the Lady Techster Soccer Complex complete with lights, press box and bleachers; the addition of new bleachers, press box, fencing and scoreboard at the Lady Techster Softball Complex; the addition of a new press box, scoreboard, player’s lounge, expanded locker room and ticket offices at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.
