More than 100 Tech athletes earn academic honor
28 LA Tech Student-Athletes Earn Honor
Action from day two of the 2011 WAC Indoor Championships in Boise, Idaho.
2011:Ran the third leg of the distance medley relay team that placed first at the Leonard Hilton Invitational (1/14) with a time of 10:24.51 ... Finished fifth in the mile run at the Arkansas State Invitational (1/22) with a time of 4:22.23 ... Ran 1:57.54 in the 800m to finish 16th at the Tyson Invitational (2/11-12) ... Finished 12th at the WAC Championships (2/24-26) with a time of 1:57.98 ... Opened the outdoor season with a 4:03.62 time in the 1,500m at the LSU Relays (3/25-26) to finish seventh ... Ran 3:59.57 in the 1,500m at the Jim Mize Invitational (4/1-2), placing second while also running the third leg of the 4x800m relay that finished second with a time of 7:35.79 ... Ran a personal record time of 3:57.89 in the 1,500m at the LSU Alumni Gold (4/23) to finish sixth ... Ran 4:09.21 in the 1,500m at the WAC Championships (5/10-13) to finish 10th.
2010: Did not compete during 2010 season.
High School: Lettered one year in cross country and four years in track and field at Dutchtown High School...Coached by Chris Carrier and Bill Jones...Named Valedictorian, Ascension Parish Student of the Year and composite academic all-state...Member of the 6-5A District champions and Division I third-place Indoor Champions.
