LA Tech recorded several top finishes this past weekend at the 35th annual Victor Lopez Classic

2016: Opened the season by jumping 22-1.5 (6.74m) in the long jump to finish 13th at the Purple Tiger Invitational (1/8) ... Also finished 13th in the long jump the following week at the Aggie Team Invitational (1/15) with a mark of 21-5.25 (6.53m) while also placing 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 44-11.5 (13.70m) ... Jumped 45-1.75 (13.76m) to finish eighth in the triple jump at the Vanderbilt Invitational (1/29-30) while also jumping 14-0.25 (4.27m) in the long jump to finish 25th ... Set a new personal best mark of 22-5 (6.83m) in the long jump to finish eighth at the Samford Invitational (2/12) while also finishing 12th in the triple jump with a mark of 45-9.25 (13.95m) ... Matched a pair of personal best marks at the Conference USA Indoor Championships (2/24-25) as he jumped 22-5 (6.83m) to finish ninth in the long jump and placed 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 46-4 (14.12m) ... Did not compete in the outdoor season.
2015: Opened the year at the UAB Blazer Invitational (1/9-10) where he finished 10th in the long jump with a mark of 21-5.5 (6.54m) and 12th in the triple jump with a mark of 44-6.75 (13.58m) ... Jumped 43-7.75 (13.30m) in the triple jump to finish eighth at the Texas A&M Team Invitational (1/17) ... Jumped 46-4 (14.12m) in the triple jump to finish 14th and placed 21st in the long jump with a mark of 21-6.75 (6.57m) at the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational (1/23-24) ... Started the outdoor season at the rainy Jim Mize Invitational (3/20-21) where he finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 42-6.75 (12.97m) and placed 10th in the long jump with a mark of 21-2 (6.45m) ... Jumped 46-6.75 (14.19m) in the triple jump to finish fourth at the Demon Invitational (4/11) ... Finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 45-3 (13.79m) at the LSU Alumni Gold (4/18) ... Jumped 23-5.5 (7.15m) in the long jump to finish sixth and placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 46-4.75 (14.14m) at the Leon Johnson Invitational (4/25) ... Finished sixth in the long jump at the Horned Frog Invitational (5/2) with a mark of 23-7.5 (6.20m) ... At the Conference USA Championships (5/14-17), finished 14th in the long jump with a mark of 23-4.75 (7.13m) and jumped 43-0.25 (13.11m) to finish 18th in the triple jump.
