2009: Opened indoor season at the Razorback Invitational (1/23), running the 200m in 21.71 to finish eighth and running 47.76 in the 400m to place fourth... Ran the 400m at the Texas A&M Invitational (2/13) with a time of 48.02 to place 11th... At the WAC Indoor Championships (2/27), ran the 200m prelims in 21.93 before advancing to the finals where he finished second with a time of 21.42, earning All-WAC honors... Also finished second in the finals of the 400m at the WAC Indoor Championships (2/27), running 47.81 in the prelims and posting a time of 47.61 in the finals... Opened outdoor season with a 200m time of 21.40 to place 12th at the Ole Miss Invitational (4/11) while running 48.18 in the 400m to finish 10th... At the LSU Alumni Gold Invite (4/18), ran the 400m in 47.36 to finish 10th... Won the 400m at the Cole-Lancon Twi-Light (4/30), running 47.91... At the WAC Championships (5/14), ran the second-fastest time in the prelims of the 200m with a mark of 21.62 to advance to the finals where he won the WAC title with a time of 21.08... Also won the 400m WAC title with a time of 46.63 after running 49.42 in the prelims... Advanced to the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships (5/29) in both events, running 21.24 in the 200m to finish 14th and placing ninth - and one spot outside the finals - in the 400m with a time of 46.87.

2008: Earned Outdoor Performer of the year after taking first place finishes in the 200 and 400 in the WAC Championships as well as being a member of the 4X100 and 4X400 relays that finished first at the WAC Championships...His 200m time of 20.67 was a personal best as well as his 400m time of 46.30 seconds... Broke the school record in the indoor 400 at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. with a time of 47.42... Earned All-LSWA honors for outdoor track...Named to indoor and outdoor All-WAC teams.

2007: Named to the indoor and outdoor All-WAC teams...Earned All-LSWA honors for outdoor track... Named WAC Freshman of the Year... finished with a WAC outdoor championship in the men 400... hit an NCAA qualifying mark in the men's 200 meters with a time of 20.87 seconds for the seventh-fastest time at the John McDonnell Invitational and earned WAC Athlete of the Week... took second in the 400 with a time of 48.14 at the 2007 WAC Indoor Championships.

High School: Coached by Brian Taylor and Jerry Byrd... Received All-City honors all four years, and All-State three years... Louisiana State Champion in the 400 with a time of 47.51.

Personal: Son of Diana Jefferson... has one brother, Elbert Ruffins... has four sisters, Helen, Alisha Ruffins, Katunya Jones and Tina Harris.... Born June 7, 1987 in Shreveport, La.... Chose LA Tech over LSU, Miami and Florida... Majoring in sociology.
