2009: Redshirted indoor season... Outdoors, opened the season with a 1:56.69 time to win the 800m at the Jim Mize Invitational (3/28)... Placed fourth in the 800m at the Texas Relays (4/2), running 1:53.97... Posted a 50.59 mark in the 400m, placing 11th at the Cole-Lancon Twi-Light (4/30)... Ran the second-fastest time in the prelims of the 800m at the WAC Championships (5/14), posting a time of 1:53.83... Bested that in the finals, placing third with a time of 1:52.86.
High School: Ran for coach Jerry Holness at Manchester High School in Mandeville, Jamaica... Named as the High School Boys' Athlete of the Meet in Relay Events at the Championships of America at Penn Relays after leading his team to victory in the 4×800m relay with a come-from-behind final carry... His 1:53.0 split capped Manchester's time of 7:43.22.
