FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Antoinette Cobb was one of three Louisiana Tech athletes to make the 60m hurdles finals as the last day of the Razorback Invitational came to a close at the Randall Tyson Track Center on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Cobb won the event with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.42, the second time this season that Cobb has ran a NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 60m hurdles. Tiana Davis placed fourth in the finals with a time of 8.68 while New Orleans native Jesseka Jones finished sixth with a time of 8.82.
Cobb also shined in the 60m dash, running 7.57 to finish third overall and advance to the finals, but the Weyanoke, La. native elected not to run in the final race. Kamelia Story's time of 54.41 in the 400m fell one-hundredth of a second short of an NCAA provisional qualifying time as she finished eighth in the event.
Louisiana Tech had two jumpers finish in the top eight in the triple jump as Brittany Guy placed fifth with a jump of 39' 7.75" and Quatisha Williams finished eighth with a mark of 39' 3".
LA Tech has a week off before returning to action in Fayetteville at the Tyson Invitational, one of the most challenging and prestigious indoor track meets in the country, on Feb. 12-13.
