FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Louisiana Tech's men's distance medley relay team highlighted the final day of the Tyson Invitational for the Bulldogs Saturday, running 10:01.54 and setting a school record while beating Georgia and Miami to finish sixth.

Freshmen Alwayne Green, Jermaine Morris and Matt Wolfe and redshirt junior Wade McGaha combined to set a school record time of 10:01.54 in the distance medley relay (DMR), a record originally set in 2002. The DMR, a relay composed of 1,200m-400m-800m-1,600m legs, was the highlight for the men's team in one of the nation's most prestigious meets.

Green ran the 1,200m in 3:03, McGaha ran the 800m in 0:48, Morris ran 1:52 in the 800m and Wolfe ran the 1,600m anchor with a time of 4:16 to cap the record relay.

In other action, Tierah Hall set a season-best shot put throw of 43' 9.25" to finish 18th while Micarra Vassell set a mark of 42' 8.75" to place 21st in the shot put.

Stacia Hanneman and Jesseka Jones both set season-best times in the 200m with Hanneman running 24.85 and Jones running 24.96.

In the men's 200m, Albert Fullwood ran a season-best time of 21.42, finishing 25th. The Tyson Invitational wrapped up the regular season indoors for Louisiana Tech with Tech heading into the Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 24-28 in Boise, Idaho.
