Head Coach Gary Stanley

“That was a huge performance for Trey Hadnot,” said head coach Gary Stanley. “It was a very composed effort for him, especially it being his first time in the finals at an NCAA Championship event. Sprints coach Calvin Robinson did a great job in preparing him for the NCAA Championships.”

Junior Trey Hadnot

“I just felt it [in the finals]. I told coach that my second race is always my better race  and it was again tonight. They started me in the top lane [lane six] and I just felt it coming down out of the curve.”

On finally reaching the finals:

“I just felt a sigh of relief. I finally got there. It was just a mental thing because I knew I could physically do it. My training was there this year, my body is in top shape and getting to the finals was just a matter of breaking that mental barrier for me.”
