AUSTIN, Texas - Louisiana Tech’s men’s relay teams continued to shine early in the 2014 outdoor season as the men’s 4x100m relay finished fifth as action concluded late Saturday at the 87th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin.

LA Tech’s relay squad of Devin Henderson, Trey Hadnot, Jermey Hicks and Dennis Richardson ran 39.66 to finish fifth overall, beating Cal, TCU and host Texas.

The men’s 4x400m relay also saw similar success, running 3:09.57 to finish sixth overall as the quartet of Jaquvis Hart, Christopher Sampract, Darius Statham and Hadnot posted another top-10 finish.

On the women’s side, freshman high jumper Chloe Lautric jumped the second-best height in school history in her first meet competing for the Lady Techsters. Lautric jumped 5-10 (1.78m) to finish eighth overall at the Texas Relays.

The women’s 4x400m relay finished eighths overall as well, as the relay team of Charla Craddock, Aminah Blount, Taneka Henderson and Aldresha Bailey ran 3:42.04.


 

 

Kim Francis also posted a top-10 finish as she placed eighth in the 100m hurdles finals with a time of 45.92.

Louisiana Tech returns to action on April 4-5 at the SFA Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas.
