AUSTIN, Texas - Antoinette Cobb continued to redefine the standard for Louisiana Tech Saturday as the redshirt senior smashed the school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.22 in the short hurdle invitational on the final day of the 83rd Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Cobb's time of 13.22 is the fastest 100m hurdles time of any WAC athlete since 1999 as she broke the old school record of 13.28 set by Doria Appleberry in 2005. With her 13.22 mark, Cobb is ranked eighth nationally and fourth in the NCAA East rankings. The NCAA East rankings decide which athletes qualify for the 2010 NCAA East Preliminary Championships, held on May 28-29 in Greensboro, N.C.

Cobb's school record time as she competed in the 100m hurdles invitational along with teammate Tiana Davis, who ran a personal record time of 13.52 to place fifth. Cobb and Davis have the two fastest times in the 100m hurdles in the WAC this season.

The men's 4x400m relay finished second in the finals with a time of 3:08.49, beating teams from North Texas, Kansas and Houston. The time of 3:08.49 ranks the Bulldog relay team 16th in the NCAA East rankings and 26th nationally. The Bulldogs relay mark leads all WAC relays by a commanding seven seconds.

Meanwhile, the men's 4x200m relay team ran the fifth-fastest time in school history as they placed fifth with a time of 1:25.44.

Also in Saturday's relays, the Bulldog distance medley relay team ran 10:08.75 to finish 12th.

Louisiana Tech returns to action on Saturday, April 10 when Tech travels to Oxford, Miss. to compete at the Ole Miss Invitational.
