NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Louisiana Tech placed three men in the top 15 in the 1,500m run with two impressive personal bests as the first day of action concluded late Friday night at the Cark Kight Skechers Invitational at Stephen F. Austin.
Matt Wolfe led the way with an eighth-place time of 4:01.87 in the 1,500dm while Taylor Ashton shaved eight seconds of his personal best time, running 4:02.13 to finish ninth. Anthony Plourde also ran a big personal record time, knocking six seconds of his career-best mark with a time of 4:03.70 to finish 14th.
Mary Kate Hays finished 20th in the women’s 1,500m run with a time of 5:02.39.
Action at the meet concludes Saturday.
