Louisiana Tech Releases 2010 Indoor Track and Field Schedule

Jan. 5, 2010

RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech has announced its 2010 indoor track and field schedule with Tech competing in six indoor meets this season. The womens team enters 2010 looking for its fifth WAC title in six years while the mens team looks to improve upon last years fourth place performance.

LA Tech opens the season at the Leonard Hilton Memorial at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas on Friday, Jan. 15. Tech will then travel to College Station, Texas the next day for the Texas A&M Invitational.

Louisiana Tech will make its first of three trips to Fayetteville, Ark. on Jan. 22-23 for the Razorback Invitational. Tech will then return to the University of Arkansas campus on Feb. 12-13 for the prestigious Tyson Invitational, one of the top indoor meets in the nation.

WAC bragging rights will be on the line on Feb. 24-28 in Boise, Idaho as Boise State will host the 2010 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. A Lady Techster title would mark the longest title run of any WAC team since BYU won five consecutive indoor titles from 1995-1999.

The indoor season comes to a close on March 12-14 when Tech will make its third and final trip of the indoor season to Fayetteville, Ark. for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
