Louisiana Tech to Face Several Ranked Teams at Texas A&M Saturday

RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech heads to College Station, Texas Saturday for the Texas A&M Team Invitational hosted by the Aggies.
In Saturday's scored meet, with finals starting at 2 p.m., the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters will face Abilene Christian, Baylor, Stephen F. Austin, TCU, Texas A&M, UT-Arlington, UTSA and Texas State. Field events begin at noon with track prelims starting at 12:30 p.m.
Host Texas A&M enters the meet with both squads nationally ranked among the top four teams in the preseason computer rankings from USTFCCCA. The Aggie women are No. 2 in the nation while the A&M men are No. 4.
The men will also face a strong challenge from No. 25 TCU and No. 30 Baylor while the Bears are ranked 26th on the women's side.
For Louisiana Tech, both Mia Adams (long jump) and Laticia Watson (triple jump) are ranked 21st in the country early in the season in their respective events while the 4x400m relay team of Diamond Every, Charla Craddock, Victoria Wade and LaQuanda James that ran 3:48.86 at the season-opening UAB Blazer Invite will try to improve upon their No. 29 national ranking this weekend. Craddock is also nationally ranked in the long jump, currently at No. 33.
On the men's side, Jarvis Gotch enters the weekend ranked 22nd in the 60m dash.
The action Saturday will be broadcast live on the SEC Network + and WatchESPN.
