June 16, 2014

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Monday its list of those Division I student-athletes who earned All-America honors for the 2014 outdoor season with Louisiana Tech claiming eight honors in all.

Two Bulldogs – Jarvis Gotch and Trey Hadnot – each claimed a pair of honors by competing in multiple events at the NCAA Championships.

First-Team All-America honors were awarded to those who finished among the top eight in an individual or relay event as part of a team; Second-Team All-America honors went to those who finished between ninth and 16th; and Honorable Mention honors were given to the remaining finishers.

For Hadnot, his sixth and seventh honor ties former track and field athlete Chelsea Hayes for the most All-America honors any Louisiana Tech student-athlete from any sport has received.
