RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech head coach Gary Stanley announced the program’s 2014 cross country schedule Thursday with Tech hosting the annual Mook 5 race to open the season.
In all the 2014 slate includes five regular season races followed by the Conference USA Championships on Nov. 3 in Houston, hosted by Rice.
The season will open in Ruston on Sept. 20 as LA Tech will host the annual Mook 5 races for the men and women before heading south on Sept. 27 to run at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede in Lake Charles.
LA Tech will open competition in October at the Chili Pepper Festival hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The final two regular season races will take place in northwest Louisiana beginning with the Oct. 11 Centenary Invitational in Shreveport and then closing the regular season at the Demon Invitational in Natchitoches on Oct. 25.
