LA Tech Set to Host Mook Four Triple-Duals Saturday

RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech Cross Country returns to action on both the men and women’s side this weekend when the teams hosts its annual Mook Four Triple-Duals Saturday morning at Tech Farm in Ruston.
The Mook Four Triple-Duals include a men’s 4-mile race starting at 8:30 a.m., with the women scheduled for a 4k race starting at 9:15 a.m. immediately following the men’s race.
This year’s race will feature a total of six schools competing, including UAPB, Grambling, Jackson State, Northwestern State, ULM and LA Tech. All six schools will compete on the men’s side, while the women’s 4k will feature each team with the exception of Jackson State.
For Louisiana Tech’s men, Saturday's home event will mark the second meet of the season after the Bulldogs finished second at the Mississippi College Opener on Sept. 1. The Bulldogs had five runners finish in the top 25, while Tech was led by redshirt freshman Conner Killian, who was the top finisher for the Bulldogs after placing fifth with a time of 16:41.93.
The Mook Four Triple-Duals will mark the season-opening event for LA Tech’s women. Kacie Kaufman and Elia Nero return for the Lady Techsters along with six addition returners from a year ago, while two newcomers have also joined the team in Elise Bordlee and Brianna Hood.
Admission to the annual Mook Four Triple-Duals is free to the public.
