Brown Leads Tech Cross Country Team


 

 
RUSTON (Sept. 26) - Louisiana Tech's Brandon Brown finished sixth among 40 runners to lead the Bulldog's cross country team at the Joe Richardson Invitational hosted by Stephen F. Austin at Piney Woods Country Club.

Brown finished the 8-meter run with a time of 26:45.7. The Bulldog's Chris Anderson finished 18th in the event with a time of 27:59.0, while teammates Andy Bipella finished 20th (28:19.3), Karl Stavenburg 21st (28:20.5), Kyle Odom 22nd (28:26.3) and Matt Carroll 23rd (28:28.1).

Tech's women were led by Jessalyn Adams who finished 29th with a time of 22:23.1 in the 5-meter run. Angela Ryder was next for the Lady Techsters finishing 30th (22:28), while Julie Richardson finished 31st (22:33), Brooke Sims 33rd (23:03.9) and Lisa Graves 34th (23:09.6).

The Bulldogs finished fourth among the men with a point total of 87, while the Lady Techsters finished sixth as a team.

Both teams will run at Arkansas-Little Rock Oct. 7.
