Brown Leads Tech Cross Country at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Junior Brandon Brown finished 64th among 177 runners to lead Louisiana Tech at the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival Saturday.

Brown completed the 10km event with a time of 32:39, while Bulldog teammate Chris Andersson was next for Tech finishing 95th with a time of 33:40. Other Tech participants included Andy Bipella in 100th place (33:48), Sam Navarro in 108th (34:04), Kyle Odom in 110th (34:05), Karl Stavenberg in 112th (34:09) and Mtume Delemos in 136th (35:45).

As a team Tech finished 17th out of 23 teams, finishing ahead of Louisiana-Monroe and future WAC opponent Tulsa.

The Bulldogs will compete next at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Little Rock, Ark., Oct. 28.
