Bulldog Cross Country Heads to Alabama Friday
Oct. 16, 2014 RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech men's cross country team will be back in action Friday when they travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to compete in the Crimson Classic hosted by the University of Alabama.
The meet features an 8-kilometer men's race that will being at approximately 5:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will face a challenging field of 33 teams that includes five schools from the Southeastern Conference and two schools from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Louisiana Tech will also see some familiar faces as in-state foes LSU, ULM, Southeastern Louisiana, Loyola and Tulane will all be in attendance.
The Bulldogs are coming off a win at the Northwestern State Meet where Taylor Ashton placed first and was later named Conference USA Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
The women's cross country team will also be in action Friday as they travel to Lafayette to compete in the Ragin Cajuns Invitational.
