2011: Had one strikeout and threw 1.1 hitless innings against SIU (2/18)... Tossed 1.2 innings and fanned two batters at McNeese (2/26) to pick up his first win of the season... Fanned two batters in a flawless inning of work at Grambling (3/23)... Worked 3.0 innings in relief against UTPA (3/25) and allowed just one hit while picking up three strikeouts... Notched his first career save in 0.2 innings of work against LSU-Shreveport (4/2)... Struck out two batters in 1.0 innings of no-hit relief against UT Arlington (5/3).

2010: Appeared in 27 games with eight starts at second base...After a number of injuries to the pitching staff the right-hander stepped up as a valuable relief pitcher as well making 10 appearances out of the bullpen...Went 3-for-3 with three RBI at Grambling (2/23)...Struck out 14 batters in 15 innings of relief work...Picked up his first career win after pitching 3.1 scoreless innings in relief vs. Hawai'i and recorded a career high four strikeouts in the process (4/25).

2009: Redshirt season.

High School: Started and lettered four years at Alexandria Senior High School for coach Daniel Tomlin...Helped the team win the District 3-4A Title in 2006, 2007 and 2008...Named first team all-district all four seasons, all-state honorable mention as a pitcher in 2006 and first-team all-state in 2007 and 2008...As a senior, he was named an Academic All-American and a Preseason Under Armour All-American...Also as a senior, he participated in a high school all-star game and was named team MVP...Batted .415 and slugged 18 home runs in his high school career...Went 5-2 as a pitcher...In three seasons, he pitched 96 innings and struck out 147 batters...Played three years of summer ball with the Louisiana All-Stars for coach Chris Counts...Member of National Honor Society...Academically, he finished in the top ten percent of his class...Served on the royalty court.
