2015: Made 11 appearances all in relief as a junior for the Bulldogs ... Posted a 1-0 record and 6.48 earned run average in 16.2 innings pitched ... Picked up his first and only win of the season after pitching three innings of relief and allowing just one run on four hits and three strikeouts in a 17-12 victory over Grambling State (3/31) ... Pitched 2.2 scoreless innings against Marshall (5/14) in the last weekend series of the season, while holding the Thundering Herd to just one hit and striking out three in relief.
2014: Made a total of 13 appearances on the mound, while starting making six starts as a sophomore for LA Tech ... Posted an 0-5 record with a 6.23 earned run average in 43.1 innings of action ... Allowed 55 hits, 32 runs, 30 earned runs, 12 walks and 16 strikeouts, while opposing batters hit .318 with 10 doubles, two triples and two home runs ... Pitched a career-long 6.1 innings of relief on April 20 at Southern Miss as he struck out a career-high three batters in the outing ... Had his best outing of the season on March 1 versus Minnesota as the right-hander made his first start of the season and pitched 4.0 innings of shutout baseball, while allowing just one hit, one walk and one strikeout ... Struck out a career-high three batters twice as a sophomore on the LA Tech pitching staff.
2013: Appeared in 14 games while making four starts on the mound for Tech in his rookie season with the Bulldogs ... Posted a 2.96 ERA in 27.1 innings of work in his first season at LA Tech with 2-1 record for the freshman ... Allowed 14 runs - nine earned - off 36 hits and struck out nine over the course of the season ... Picked up his first win in a Bulldog uniform April 16 at Northwestern State after shutting out the Demons and allowing just two hits in two full innings of work ... Pitched a season-long 5.2 innings May 14 versus Northwestern State and held the Demons to one run off seven hits to earn his second win of the season ... Struck out a season-high two batters twice in 2013 in back-to-back appearances against Alcorn State and Grambling.
High School: Lettered three years for the Lafayette High Loins... He compiled a 15-2 record with 129 strikeouts in 121 innings... Was named all-district his junior and senior years, senior year all-Acadiana and 2nd-team all-state... In his sophomore and junior years, Derouen help guide LHS to the 2010 and 2011 5A state championship games and senior year to 5A quarter finals.
