High School: Four year standout as a corner infielder and pitcher at Evangel Christian HS... Led the Eagles to a 24-11 record and a berth in the Class 2A quarterfinals while boasting a 1.12 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 25.1 innings of work... At the plate the switch-hitting slugger belted 12 home runs, 37 RBI and hit at a .446 clip while tallying a .942 slugging percentage... Cited with all-district and all-Louisiana honors from 2007-10... Named preseason all-American by Perfect Game USA prior to his junior season in 2009... Tabbed all-Area player of the year in 2009... Named Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Louisiana in 2010...
