2009: Played in 20 games, while starting nine...Reached base in his first seven games of the season...Totaled his first collegiate hit, a single, in game one of Tech's doubleheader at McNeese State (2/28)...Went on to total a five-game hitting streak during the stretch, his longest of his career (2/28-3/10)...Beat out a run-scoring infield single in the series finale at Hawaii to give his team a one-run lead in the ninth inning...Tech went on to win by one, 8-7 (5/3)...Played summer league ball for the Liberal Bee Jays...Earned first team All-Jayhawk League and National Baseball Congress World Series All American Team.
