#3 Louisiana Tech vs. #6 New Mexico State in the 2011 WAC Tournament in Mesa, Ariz.
2011: Made 14 appearances, starting all 14... Held opponents to a .246 batting average in 65.2 innings... Fanned three batters in 1.1 innings against Grambling State (2/20) in first start since suffering injury during the 2010 season... Took a no-hit bid into the fifth inning at No. 25 Rice (3/20) and fanned four batters... Allowed just two hits and fanned four batters as he held New Mexico State (4/9), the nations' top-ranked offensive club, in check as he tossed the first complete game shutout of his career...Named LSWA Pitcher of the Week (4/11). Led the Bulldogs with seven winnings, including two complete games and one shutout... Pitched six innings of one-run ball at Sacramento St for his seventh victory (5/20)... Struck out a season-high seven hitters in his final start of the season vs. New Mexico St. (5/25).
2010: Appeared in four games while making three starts before receiving a redshirt due to injury... Allowed just one run off of three hits while striking out nine in five innings in his first start of the season vs. Alcorn State (2/19)... Earned his first win of the season after giving up just one run in five innings of relief at Baylor (3/3).
2009: Named Academic all-WAC... Made 13 starts and one relief appearance... Struck out a team-high 66 batters, sixth-most in the conference... In his first collegiate start, he earned the win after he gave up only hit and two walks, while striking out five, in five innings pitched (2/21)... Gave another quality performance against Eastern Michigan (3/7)... Allowed only run and struck out eight in seven innings pitched... To earn his third win of the year, he limited Fresno State to five runs in 6.1 innings... Struck out 10 at Sacramento State (4/25)... Surpassed that total with his current career-high of 12 strikeouts against Hawai'i (4/30)... Against the Rainbows, he gave up one run in 7.2 innings of work (4/30)... Faced Hawai'i one more time in the WAC Tournament where he allowed only two runs in 6 2/3 innings (5/21).
High School: Lettered three years at Acadiana High School under coach Scott McCullough... Named first team all-district as a pitcher his junior and senior seasons... As a senior, his team won the 2-5A district championship... Played three years of football as a tight end... As a sophomore and a senior, his football team was the state runner-up... As a junior, his football team won the state championship... Named to all-state composite team as a football and baseball player... Was a National Honor Society member... Played one year of summer ball for the Louisiana All-Stars under coach Chris Counts.
