RUSTON, La. - The 2014 LA Tech Baseball broadcast schedule has been set for this season with 32 total games scheduled to air on KNBB 97.7 FM, including 29 Conference USA contests and weekly radio shows with head coach Wade Simoneaux.
The broadcast schedule kicks off tonight as in-state foe and Conference USA mate Tulane travels to Ruston for a three-game series beginning at 6 p.m. at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. Patrick Walsh will have the call for both Friday and Sunday's games, which will air on KNBB 97.7 FM.
LA Tech Sports Properties begins its sixth year as part of the University's athletic family and is in charge of the LA Tech Sports Network, which will cover the majority of regular season, conference tournament and postseason contests, all of which will air live with a 15-minute pregame show and a postgame wrap-up.
Over the course of the 2014 baseball season, the Bulldogs' contests will air live on KNBB 97.7 FM (Ruston) with Dave Nitz calling all the action from the diamond for the majority of both home and road games. Also, every LA Tech baseball game this season, both home and away, will be broadcast on either LA Tech All-Access or the LA Tech Sports Network.
Simoneaux will also sit down with Nitz weekly for 10 installments of Inside Bulldog Baseball, which will also air on KNBB 97.7. The weekly radio show will kick off Monday, March 17 following LA Tech's conference road series at Florida Atlantic.
Nitz begins his 39th year as the voice of the Bulldog baseball team and has broadcast more than 2,000 Louisiana Tech sporting events since joining the University in 1974. He was inducted into the Louisiana Tech Athletics Hall of Fame in October of 2011.
All Bulldog games can be accessed via the internet by logging onto LATechSports.com and subscribing to LA Tech All-Access, a subscription-based web service that will provide the audio feed of every game (home and away) and the video feed of the home games.
