Minnesota Series Pushed Back Due to Flight Delays

RUSTON, La. - Tonight's home baseball game between Louisiana Tech and Minnesota has been postponed and will now be played as a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. Saturday due to the Golden Gophers' flight out of Minneapolis, Minn. being delayed.

The contest was originally scheduled for a 6 p.m. start time tonight at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park, with the second and third games of the series set to start at 3 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The third and final game of the series is still scheduled for 12 p.m. Sunday.

All promotions scheduled for tonight's opening game of the series will continue at tomorrow's doubleheader. Saturday will mark First Responders Day as police, fire and EMS will get in free of charge with a valid ID. Chief Bill Davis of LA Tech's University Police Department will throw out the first pitch in the first game tomorrow. Free hot dogs will also be given out to the first 100 fans in attendance.
