RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech baseball team returns to Ruston to play five games in five days as the Bulldogs host UALR (13-8) on Tuesday, March 20, Centenary (16-5) on Wednesday, March 21 and a three-game series with Dallas Baptist beginning on Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m. at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

Freshman Phil Maton (3-1) takes the hill for the 10-10 Bulldogs on Tuesday as first pitch against the Trojans is scheduled for 6 p.m. Ben Carlisle (0-0) or Mitch Antony (0-0) get the call on Wednesday at 6 p.m. as Tech looks to split the season series with the Gents of Centenary.

LA Tech defeated UALR, 11-9, back on Feb. 22, 2012 at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock, Ark. as senior first baseman Alex Williams and junior second baseman Austin Hedges both homered in the victory. Maton recorded his first career win after 4.0 shutout innings in relief, allowing just one hit while striking out four.

The Bulldogs fell to the Gents, 14-8, earlier this month in Shehee Field in Shreveport, La. as freshman Bre'shon Kimbell hit a leadoff home run and right fielder Taylor Burch recorded two doubles.

Ryan Gebhardt leads Louisiana Tech and the Western Athletic Conference with a .430 batting average, along with 37 hits and nine doubles and is tied with Williams with 12 multi-hit games. Kimbell leads the Bulldogs with a .493 on-base percentage while the utility player is third in the conference with a .390 batting average.
