RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech head baseball coach Wade Simoneaux is gearing up to hold his Top Dawg High School Showcase Camp for campers entering grades 8-12 running July 23-25 at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

In past years, Simoneaux's Top Dawg Camps have served as tremendous recruiting tools for the Louisiana Tech baseball program.

"We have signed close to 25 players in the last 10 years of camp," Simoneaux said.

Past camp attendees include former standouts Brian Rike, Mark Threlkeld, Alex Williams and Kyle Roliard, who all signed to play for the Bulldogs and went on to sign professional contracts.

Campers can register online at www.LATechsports.com or by calling Kim Tanner at 318-257-3314 or Wade Simoneaux at 318-235-7030.

The three-day showcase begins July 23 with the camp lasting from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 9 a.m - 12 p.m. Wednesday.

The campers will be guided by members of the Tech coaching staff and many current players while learning the fundamentals in every aspect of the game, including hitting, fielding and strength and conditioning.
