RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech baseball team will begin the 2012 season at home against the University of Texas at Arlington Feb. 17-19.
The Bulldogs were previously scheduled to begin the season on the road against the Mavericks. However, a schedule change now has Tech hosting UT-Arlington in Ruston for a three game series.
Louisiana Tech will play 27 home games in 2012, highlighted by a three game series vs. Dallas Baptist beginning on March 23.
Tech returns 15 letter winners and welcomes 18 new players. The Bulldogs only have three seniors on the team. Louisiana Tech lost six seniors to graduation and three juniors to the MLB Draft. The 34 wins were the most for a Tech team since the 2007 season.
Bulldog fans can get an opportunity to watch the team in the Fall World Series as game four of the five-game series is set for Friday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. at J.C. Love Field.
