Louisiana Tech at Texas State Jan. 10, 2013 Game Notes

• With the 84-67 win, Louisiana Tech now leads the all-time series over Texas State 5-1.

• LA Tech improves to 13-3 on the season and 4-0 in WAC play as they take their fifth straight win. Texas State drops their eighth straight game as they fall to 4-12 on the season and 0-5 in the WAC.

• LA Tech starters were Michale Kyser, Brandon Gibson, Raheem Appleby, Kenneth Smith and Cordarius Johnson.

• Eleven different players scored for the Bulldogs.

• Forward Michale Kyser recorded a season-high six blocks in just 16 minutes of action. He now has 52 on the season and needs just four more to set the single-season sophomore record.

• Guard Kenneth Smith tied his career-high with 10 rebounds to lead all rebounders.

• Guard Cordarius Johnson had a team-high 17 points and went 5-of-9 from three-point land tying his career-high for most threes in a single game. It's the third time this season Johnson has made at least four three's in a game.

• Guard Jaron Johnson scored a career-high 10 points, including going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

 

 

• LA Tech grabbed 54 total rebounds, the most since they had 55 at Houston (12/29/2009).

• LA Tech outrebounded Texas State 54-32 and scored 23 second chance points.

• The Bulldogs bench outscored the Bobcats bench 35-6.
