POST-GAME NOTES

• With the 73-62 win, Louisiana Tech now leads the all-time series over Middle Tennessee, 10-2. The Bulldogs have won five straight over the Blue Raiders.

• LA Tech improved to 18-6 on the season and 9-2 in C-USA play. The Bulldogs are now in a three-way tie for first place in C-USA.

• With the victory, the Bulldogs avoided losing back-to-back regular season conference games. It has happened only once in the past three seasons.

• Coach White and the senior class now have an overall record of 92-37.

• Tonight's result marked just the seventh loss by Middle Tennessee at home in the past four seasons. They are now 55-7 in such games.

• Middle Tennessee has only give up at least 70 points three times this season. Two of those were by the Bulldogs.

• The Bulldog defense forced 15 turnovers. Under coach White, they have forced at least 15 turnovers in 78 out of 129 games (60 percent).

• LA Tech starting lineup - Alex Hamilton, Michale Kyser, Erik McCree, Raheem Appleby and Kenneth Smith. These five players have started every game this season.

Kenneth Smith made his team-leading 106th career start.

Xavian Stapleton played a career-high 30 minutes and tied his career high in points with 18. The 18 points was also a team high. He also set a career high with four steals.


 

 

Michale Kyser recorded his second double-double of the season with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. It also marked the sixth time he has done so in his career.

Raheem Appleby registered 15 points. The senior has scored in double figures in every game but two this season. It also moved him into ninth place on the all-time career scoring list with 1,627 points, passing L.V. Norris (1951-55).

Alex Hamilton went 8-of-10 from the foul line. It marked the 15th time in his career he has attempted at least 10 free throws in a single game. He finished with 16 points which moved him into 28th on the all-time career scoring list with 1,182, passing Leon Barmore (1964-67).

Michale Kyser recorded three blocks. It marked the 62nd time in his career he has swatted at least three balls in a single game.
