Louisiana Tech vs. Texas State Feb. 9, 2013 Game Notes With the 84-69 win, LA Tech completes the sweep of Texas State this season and now leads the all-time series 6-1. LA Tech improves to 21-3 on the season and extends their winning streak to 13 games. The 13 consecutive wins ties for the second longest streak in program history (1984-85 season). Texas State falls to 7-18 and has lost four straight. LA Tech remains in first place in the conference with a perfect 12-0 record. Texas State drops to 3-10 in WAC play and remain in seventh place. With the win, it is the 15th straight win in the Thomas Assembly Center for the Bulldogs. LA Tech starters were Michale Kyser, Raheem Appleby, Kenneth Smith, Chris Anderson and Cordarius Johnson. It was the third straight game with this starting lineup. The Bulldog bench scored 41 points. It is the 15th time this season they have scored at least 30 in a game. Chris Anderson grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds, nine of which came in the first half. It was only the fifth time this season a Bulldog player has recorded double digit rebounds. Raheem Appleby scored a game-high 21 points. It is the most points he has scored in a single game since he dropped a career-high 34 at Georgia State on Nov. 30. Isaiah Massey had new career-highs in points and rebounds. He registered 10 points and seven boards. The Bulldogs shot 90 percent from the foul line on 18-of-20 shooting. In the past three games, LA Tech has shot a combined 57-of-68 on free throws for 83.8 percent.
