Louisiana Tech at Idaho Feb. 16, 2013 Game Notes

• With the 67-61 win, LA Tech now leads the all-time series over Idaho 12-5 and takes the season sweep. It was the first win for the Bulldogs in Moscow, Idaho since Jan. 9, 2010.

• LA Tech improves to 23-3 on the season and is riding a 15-game winning streak. The streak ties the program record for the longest winning streak. The previous streak came with the last win of the 1971 season and carried over into 14 straight to open the 1972-73 season.

• Idaho falls to 9-16 on the season and is on a four-game losing streak.

• LA Tech remains a perfect 14-0 in conference play. The WAC win ties the program record for most conference wins in a season (2001-02).

• LA Tech extended their road winning streak to eight games. The win away from Ruston breaks the school record for longest road winning streak including neutral sites.

• The Bulldogs are now 12-3 on the season in road games (including neutral sites). Twelve wins ties Bucknell for the most road wins in the country.

• LA Tech is one of six schools in the country that are still undefeated in conference play (Miami (FL), Gonzaga, Memphis, Akron, Norfolk State).

• LA Tech starters were Michale Kyser, Raheem Appleby, Kenneth Smith, Chris Anderson and Cordarius Johnson. It was the fifth straight game with this starting lineup.

• LA Tech shot only 8-of-25 from the field in the first half, and four of those made field goals were three-pointers.

 

 

• The Bulldogs had nine turnovers in the first half, but just two turnovers in the second half.

Raheem Appleby poured in 28 points, including a career-high seven three-pointers on a career-high 12 attempts.

Kenneth Smith tied his season-high in assists with 10. He also had zero turnovers on the night.

• The Bulldogs shot 12-of-23 from beyond the arc. The twelve threes were the most made in a single game this season.
