Louisiana Tech vs. Central Baptist Feb. 20, 2013 Game Notes With the 118-48 win, Louisiana Tech now leads the all-time series over Central Baptist 1-0. LA Tech has now won 31 straight non-conference home games dating back to Dec. 11, 2007. With the win, the Bulldogs have won 16 straight games, setting a new program record for longest winning streak. The Bulldogs have won 16 straight home games. Coach White now has 42 wins in his first two seasons with the Bulldogs, tying former Bulldog coach Tommy Eagles for most combined wins in their first two seasons. The 24 wins on the season ties for the third most victories in a single season in Bulldog history (2009-10). Michale Kyser registered one block on the night giving him 75 for the season. The 75 blocks ties him for fourth (P.J. Brown, 1991-92 and Willie Simmons, 1983-84) most in a single season. LA Tech starters were Michale Kyser, Raheem Appleby, Kenneth Smith, Chris Anderson and Cordarius Johnson. The 118 points was a season-high for the Bulldogs, and the first time they have scored at least 115 in a game since Feb. 28, 1977 versus Northwestern St. LA Tech recorded 30 assists. It was only the second time in program history that a Bulldog team recorded at least 30 assists in a single game. The other time was on Dec. 18, 1971 versus Southern Illinois (31). The 41 attempted three-pointers shattered the previous school record which was 32. The 15 made three-pointers tied the program record for most in a single game. The last time was versus Lamar on Feb. 15, 1992. The 70-point scoring margin was the third largest in school history. Seven different players scored in double-figures led by Raheem Appleby who had 15 points. Isaiah Massey (12), Stojan Gjuroski (11) and Gilbert Talbot (10) each set a new career-high in points. Gilbert Talbot registered a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. It is only the second time this season a Bulldog player (Michale Kyser) has recorded a double-double. Both Kenneth Smith and Alex Hamilton registered 10 assists on the night, and they only combined for one turnover.
