Post-game Notes

• With the 71-66 win, Louisiana Tech now holds the all-time series over Old Dominion, 1-0, following the first ever meeting between the two teams.

• LA Tech improved to 22-6 on the season and 10-3 in C-USA which puts them in a four-way tie for second place. The Bulldogs have yet to lose back-to-back games this season.

• ODU fell to 13-15 on the season and 7-6 in C-USA.

• LA Tech is 3-1 this season when facing opponents for the first time in program history. They also had wins over Florida Atlantic and Charlotte.

• The Bulldogs shot 82.4 percent from the free throw line (28-of-34). This marked the fifth time this season the `Dogs have shot at least 80 percent from the charity stripe and the first time during conference play.

• LA Tech shot 19-of-54 from the field for 32.5 percent. The number of field goals made and the field goal percentage were the lowest this season the Bulldogs have had in a game and still won.

• LA Tech is a perfect 8-0 this season when shooting at least 75 percent from the foul line.

Alex Hamilton scored a team-high 20 points. It marked his seventh career 20-plus scoring performance and his first since he scored 24 versus Marshall (1/25/14).

Kenneth Smith dished out a game-high eight assists. The junior point guard has now dished out at least eight assists in 10 of the last 11 games.

• With the eight assists, Smith moved into second place all-time in career assists (524), passing Lonnie Cooper (1995-99). He needs only eight more to set the single season record.

Kenyon McNeail registered 14 points, marking the sixth straight game he has come off the bench to record double-digits in scoring.

 

 

Chris Anderson scored 19 points, the third most he has scored in his career in a single game.
