Louisiana Tech at Rice

With the 70-48 win, LA Tech sweeps the two games over Rice this season and now leads the all-times series, 9-5.
LA Tech extended its winning streak to four and improved to 25-6 overall and 13-3 in C-USA play.
Rice lost its seventh straight game and fell to 7-22 overall and 2-14 in C-USA play.
With the win, the Bulldogs recorded back-to-back 25-win seasons for only the second time in program history. LA Tech also did it in 1983-84 and 1984-85.
With the win, LA Tech clinched a share of the Conference USA regular season championship. This marked the second straight regular season title for the Bulldogs. LA Tech last had back-to-back regular season titles in 1986-87 (Southland Conference Champs) and 1987-88 (American South Champs).
Kenneth Smith dished out nine assists. The point guard has now recorded at least eight assists in 13 of the last 14 games.
Chris Anderson scored a game-high 17 points. It marked the 10th time this season Anderson has led the team in scoring.
LA Tech is now 22-0 when leading at halftime this season. The Bulldogs led 29-22 at the break.
Raheem Appleby scored his first points since returning three games ago from an ankle injury. The junior scored six points while playing 16 minutes of action.
LA Tech held Rice to just 48 total points. This marked the fifth time this season the Bulldogs have held their opponent to 50 points or less. They held Rice to 46 points on Feb. 15 in Ruston.
