POST-GAME NOTES

• With the 70-64 victory, Louisiana Tech now leads the all-time series over Rice, 11-5. The Bulldogs have won four straight over the Owls.

• No. 1 seed LA Tech improved to 25-7 on the season and is riding a four-game winning streak as they advance to the semifinals to take on No. 4 UAB.

• It is the first time in program history that the Bulldogs have won 25+ games in three straight seasons.

• LA Tech is now 3-1 all-time in Conference USA tournament play.

• The win was No. 99 for head coach Michael White in just his fourth year at the helm.

• LA Tech forced 17 turnovers, marking the 19th time this season they have forced at least 15 in a single game.

• The Bulldogs had a +11 turnover margin. It marked the 10th time this season they have had at least a +10 turnover margin.

• The Bulldogs are now 90-1 under coach White when leading with five minutes to play. They led 62-51 at that mark.

• LA Tech starting lineup - Alex Hamilton, Michale Kyser, Erik McCree, Raheem Appleby and Kenneth Smith.

• Speedy made his team-leading 114th career start.

• Hamilton made his 71st straight start.

• The Bulldogs had four players score in double figures led by Erik McCree who had a game-high 17 points.

• McCree registered his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds. The 12 boards matched a career high.

• Appleby registered 11 points. The senior guard has scored in double figures in every game but three this season.

• Hamilton went 9-of-10 from the foul line. For his career, he has attempted at least 10 free throws in a single game 16 different times.

• Speedy recorded five steals, giving him 61 for the season. He now owns the record for most steals in a single season by a senior, passing Wayne Smith (1985-86).

Michale Kyser had one block on the night, but that was all he needed to set the senior record for most rejections in a single season. He now has 93.
