Opening statement:

"It is obviously nice to advance. We have given ourselves an opportunity to play the host team tomorrow in a huge game. I thought we got off to a really good start, mentally and physically. I thought we had a lot of bounce to us and showed how eager we were to play. Then I thought we probably got a little too comfortable with a lead. Defensively in the second half was not our best effort. I think a lot of that had to do with how well Rice executes. They run great actions. They cut hard, they screen well. They have a couple of guys that shoot it as well as anyone in our league. To give up 39 points in the second half, we obviously cannot do that moving forward. We are very fortunate to beat them and move on."

On the last four minutes of the game:

"It has happened to us a few times this year. It probably happens to teams that are good with a lead and really handle the ball well. Rice has shown over the last few weeks how good they are offensively. Fortunately, we caused 17 turnovers and we only turned the ball over six times. But late in the game, we could not find a way to get a stop. Fortunately we hit some free throws and took care of the basketball."

On the fast start to open the game:

"It was a week where we had one more day of rest than we normally would have had. I thought we looked like our legs were very much under us. I thought we looked like an athletic, energetic team. I cannot say the same for the last 10 minutes of the game. So much of that is mental, but a lot of it is a team running it right down your throat. Rice is tough to defend."

On facing UAB in semifinals:

"We will go back and watch clips from both times that we played them and we will watch clips from their game against Western Kentucky. Some of it will be positive and some of it will be negative. It is easier said than done. They are really good. We were fortunate to beat them at home and they beat us pretty handily at their place. I do not want to say it is a tough matchup for us because we have won our share of games and this is a championship team. We feel like we are capable if we play really well."
