With the 86-65 win, LA Tech now leads the all-time series over Charlotte, 2-0. The Bulldogs defeated the 49ers back on Jan. 23, 80-60, in the first ever meeting between the two schools.
LA Tech improves to 26-6 on the season and is on a five-game winning streak after notching its first ever victory in a Conference USA tournament.
Charlotte ends their regular season with a 17-14 record.
Kenneth Smith dished out eight assists on the night marking the 14th time in the past 15 games he has had at least eight in a game.
With Smith's eight assists, that brought his career total to 245 surpassing UAB's Aaron Johnson (2010-11) for the C-USA single season record.
Kenyon McNeail made three three-pointers on the night, giving him 209 for his career which ties him for third place all-time with Gerrod Henderson (1998-02).
Michale Kyser scored a game-high and a career-high 20 points while also pulling down a game-high nine rebounds.
The Bulldog defense forced 16 turnovers. That marked the 21st time this season they have done so and they are 21-0 in those contests.
LA Tech is now 23-0 this season when leading at the half. The Bulldogs held a 36-26 advantage going into the break.
